Sculptra is a unique long lasting filler and a good option for those who are comfortable with previous fillers or who need 4 syringes and more of regular filler to get volume improvement. This filler was originally approved for patients with face volume loss from HIV.
It is usually injected into 4-6 areas in the face and requires 1-2 vials per session. The best results are obtained after 2-3 sessions done 6 weeks apart. This filler stimulates your own collagen to reproduce internally. You will see a gradual volume change and smoother looking skin. Generally these results last up to two years. Sculptra patients may need 1-2 vials per year after that to maintain.
Sculptra can also be used in the buttocks to provide more fullness and soften the appearance of cellulite. It is done similarily to the face treatments but can take 3-4 vials per session.
